Self Love vs Self Ignorance, Don’t Get Confused with It

Is accepting yourself as you are self love or just self ignorance ??

Ever heard something like that ?

At a first glance, it sounds like this is a high self-awareness statement, where they know who they really are. They like it & accept it, it’s called self love, people say.

But is it ? Is it really a form of self love? Or is it just an ego?

Well, there must be a distinction between self love and self ignorance.

People say self love is about accepting yourself.

That’s half right.

Self love is not only about “accepting” yourself but also “fixing” yourself. After you accept yourself as you are, then you should try to make it better.

What must be underlined here is that what you do is not for other people (just to impress other people) but for yourself. And that’s important, it’s not only about accepting but also improving yourself.

Everyone has their own potential, which is much bigger than you think. And that’s become a homework to explore that potential, not only through accepting yourself but also improving and developing yourself.

Some people hiding themselves from trying to improve themselves behind the word of self love, they are ignorant, filled with ego, and actually don’t care about themselves.

People like that will find it difficult to move. Live stagnantly, limiting and lying to themselves. That’s truly not a self love, rather a self ignorance. Please don’t get confused with it !
